Laxmi Bank receives USD 20 million from Doha Bank, Dubai for a tenure of 3 years
Laxmi Bank Ltd. has received USD 20 million from Doha Bank, Dubai as a placement for a tenure of 3 years. The two Banks had signed an agreement on 27 April 2020 in presence of Mr. Ajaya B. Shah, Chief Executive Officer of Laxmi Bank, and Mr. Suraj Bickram Shahi, Country Head of Doha Bank for Nepal.
The fund was received upon regulatory approval and shall improve the lending capacity of Laxmi Bank in various priority sectors of the country.
