Kumari Bank Contributes Rs. 30 Million to PM Disaster Relief Fund

Kumari Bank Limited has contributed Rs. 3 crore to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund under it's corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, aimed at supporting relief, rescue and rehabilitation efforts in communities affected by recent floods and natural disasters across the country.

The bank has also sent equipment worth around Rs. 39 lakh to the Nepal Army camp in Nuwakot to strengthen search, rescue and monitoring operations in disaster hit areas. This includes five advanced GPS- fitted surveillance drones, three portable generators of 5 KVA capacity, and 100 power banks.

Recent disasters have affected districts including Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Chitwan. The bank said the support was extended in coordination with the Government of Nepal to help provide relief materials, food, temporary shelter and other humanitarian assistance to affected families. 

Kumari Bank said it has consistently upheld its social responsibility toward communities during disasters and humanitarian crises, expressing confidence that the contribution would meaningfully support ongoing relief, rescue and rehabilitation efforts.

The bank urged concerned authorities to further strengthen relief and rescue operations, and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured and the safe rescue of those still missing.
