Koshi Province Urges Resolution on Electricity Disruption Affecting Industries

Koshi Province has expressed serious concern over the closure of several industries due to power cuts by Nepal Electricity Authority, which has affected both the economy and local employment. Long-standing disputes over dedicated feeders, trucklines, and electricity dues between NEA and private industries have persisted for nearly two decades.

Recent unrest, including vandalism and protests on Bhadra 23–24, further discouraged domestic and foreign investors. The province emphasizes the need for dialogue and negotiation between the government and private sector to resolve disputes, ensure smooth industrial operations, and restore economic stability, highlighting the government's role as a guardian of private sector interests.
