Kathmandu Hosts CEO Conference to Address Global Management Challenges
The 'CEO Conference' took place on Jestha 18th at the Soaltee Hotel in Kathmandu, organized by the Management Association of Nepal (MAN). Mr. Ram Sahaya Yadav, the vice president, opened the meeting, emphasizing the role of managers in addressing economic, social, and environmental challenges. The event provided a platform for exchanging innovative management ideas to tackle global issues, particularly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and economic uncertainty.
Over 200 representatives, including CEOs and senior managers, attended the conference, which focused on economic issues, social security, lifelong learning, and workplace trends. Speakers highlighted the importance of communication, collaboration, employee well-being, diversity, inclusiveness, and continuous learning in adapting to workplace changes.
Mohan Raj Ojha, President of the Management Association of Nepal, stressed the need for the right mindset and initiatives to embrace the future of work, driven by technology and innovation. The conference featured four thematic sessions:
1. Government officials and business leaders discussed various topics facilitated by Haribhakta Sharma.
2. A session on digital transformation featured Deepak Bagla and Jabbor Kayumov, facilitated by Hema Kumari Adhikari.
3. Ian Pallister spoke on strategies for success amid volatility.
4. The final session, facilitated by Karvika Thapa, included insights from Prabhu Rangarajan and Sameer Maskey on achieving unlimited possibilities.
The conference aimed to explore how stakeholders can adapt to the changing workplace landscape.
