Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Supports Students in Mechinagar Through CSR Initiative
Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Limited recently organized a corporate social responsibility (CSR) program at Shree Saraswati Primary School in Mechinagar, Jhapa, providing educational materials and school bags to 40 students from Nursery to Grade 5. The donation, which included notebooks, pencils, pens, and other essential supplies, aimed to support students from underprivileged backgrounds.
The event was coordinated with the school and attended by Branch Manager Nirjar Poudel and Principal Phoolmaya Budhathoki, who praised the initiative for boosting student confidence and encouraging regular school attendance.
This activity reflects the bank’s continued commitment to education-focused CSR efforts across Nepal. Community participation, including parents and teachers, made the event impactful, especially in a region where economic hardship often limits children’s access to learning tools.
While modest in scale, the initiative had a significant emotional and educational impact, reinforcing the importance of shared responsibility in promoting education. The bank plans to expand such programs in the future, including health camps, digital learning support, and literacy drives, further strengthening the role of private institutions in national development.
