Jeevan Bikas Laghubitta's profitability supported by massive write-back; Annualized EPS at Rs. 127.06

Jeevan Bikas Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (JBLBSL) has published its first-quarter report of FY 2077/2078 with an increase in Net Profit by 17.69%. As per the report published by the company, the net profit increased to Rs. 13.04 crores as compared to Rs. 11.08 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
The borrowings of the company increased by a massive 126.88% to Rs. 6.21 Arba which was Rs. 2.74 Arba in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The deposit grew by 44.94% to Rs. 7.35 Arba. The loans and advances increased by 45.09% to Rs. 14.26 Arba in this quarter.
The net interest income (core revenue) has increased by 11.23% to Rs. 26.58 crores compared to Rs. 23.89 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Despite negative operating income due to higher provision, write-back of Rs. 23.51 crores led to positive Net profit for the quarter.
The paid-up capital of the company stood at Rs. 41.06 crores in this quarter and its reserve and surplus increased to Rs. 75.75 crores.
Its annualized earnings per share (EPS) stands at Rs. 127.06. The net worth per share stood at Rs. 284.46.
