Jeevan Bikas Laghubitta Calls AGM on Chaitra 30; Proposed 33.15% Dividend Now Changed to Only 14.999%

Jeevan Bikas Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (JBLB) has called its 4th AGM on 30th Chaitra, 2079. The meeting will be held in the company's head office located at Katahari, Morang, starting at 10:30 AM that day.

Among the other agendas, the AGM will endorse a 14.99% dividend for the fiscal year 2078/79. The company decided to distribute the dividend on the paid-up capital of Rs. 1.03 Arba. 14.285% bonus shares worth Rs. 14.77 crores and 0.714% cash dividend worth Rs. 73.87 lakhs have been proposed. The cash dividend includes the tax amount levied on the dividend.

Earlier, the BOD meeting held on Chaitra 6 had proposed a 37.3684% dividend including 28% bonus shares for FY 2078/79 which had later been changed after instruction from NRB to 33.15% including 26% bonus shares by the BOD meeting held on Chaitra 19. However, as per the AGM notice the dividend has again been revised to 14.99% including 14.285% bonus shares and 0.714% cash dividend.

As the company's paid-up capital will increase to Rs. 1.18 Arba after the issuance of proposed bonus shares, the proposal to amend the Articles of Association accordingly will be approved. The meeting will also provide full authority to the board of directors to amend various merger/acquisition-related proceedings accordingly if any instructions are received from the regulatory bodies.

The book closure date is from Chaitra 17 to Chaitra 30. Thus, shareholders maintained before that day are entitled to the dividend payout and can also attend this AGM.
