Janata holds AGM

KATHMANDU, OCT 19: 

Janata Bank Nepal held its third annual general meeting on Thursday. The AGM of the 27th commercial bank of the country approved the financials of fiscal year 2011-12, and also appointed the auditor for the current fiscal year. It also appointed two board members Bhimanand Dhungana and Narayan Prasad Ghimire for a period of four years from the general shareholders' group 'Kha'. The bank was able to collect deposits worth Rs 7.72 billion and float loans worth Rs 7.46 billion in the last fiscal, from which it had posted an operating profit of Rs 90.23 million and net profit of Rs 50.63 million. The bank provides modern banking services through a total network of 24 branches.
