Janata Bank Nepal supporting federal government’s policy of building nationwide banking access; launches “Sabai Nepali ko Khata” scheme with Rs 100 as opening

Following the instructions of the central bank and the campaign of the federal government to bring all the citizens of Nepal under banking access in the current year, Janata Bank Nepal has launched  “Sabai Nepali ko Khata” scheme on Baisakh 1, 2076. As per the decision of the government, the bank will provide Rs 100 as the opening balance for all the eligible bank account holders under this scheme.

Apart from the facility to open bank account with zero balance, the bank will also provide 6.5% interest in a quarterly basis. Customers can open their bank account from all 128 branches of the bank, as per the media statement.
