Janata Bank converting 19% promoter shares to ordinary; No Dividend this time

Janata Bank Nepal Limited (JBNL)is going to hold its 5th Annual General Meeting on Mangsir 27, 2071; for this purpose bank has announced the book closure date from Mangsir 11 to Mangsir 27, 2071.

The Major agenda of AGM is to convert 19 percent promoter shares to ordinary share group. The bank is not offering any dividend to its shareholders this time from the profit it earned in last FY 2070/71.

There is also an election for 6 directors representing promoters group.

Only those shareholders who own the shares of the bank till Mangsir 10, 2071, will be entitled to attend the AGM.

Janata  Bank offered 3 percent bonus and 5 percent cash dividend to its shareholders in the previous fiscal year 2069/70.
