Janata Bank Nepal on Friday completed its third year of operations. To celebrate the milestone and as part of its corporate social responsibility, it organised a blood donation camp participated by 50 people on the premises of its head office in New Baneshwor. The bank has been able to earn a net profit of Rs 70.70 million till mid-January, it said, adding that it has collected deposits worth Rs 11.82 billion and floated loans worth Rs 10.42 billion till date. The bank has been providing modern banking facilities through a total network of 25 branches and 20 ATM units across the country. It has already issued 600,000 units of ordinary shares with face value of Rs 100 and was able to distribute dividends to general shareholders in the first year after the issue. The bank, with a paid up capital of Rs two billion, has 41,618 shareholders.
