Jagdamba Steels Raises Concern Over Bonus Dispute and Union Pressure

Jagdamba Steels Ltd. has expressed serious concern over recent actions taken by its workers’ union regarding bonus demands. The company states that the union has been making unlawful and arbitrary bonus claims beyond what is allowed under existing laws, and has resorted to threats, disruptive behavior, and press conferences spreading misleading information.

The dispute was earlier taken to court, where a legal decision has already been made. However, instead of seeking lawful remedies, the union has continued to pressure the company through threats of shutdowns, media campaigns, and social media activities. Jagdamba Steels clarified that it remains fully committed to distributing bonuses strictly in accordance with the Bonus Act, 2030, but strongly opposes illegal demands and actions that disturb industrial harmony.
