Laxmi Bank has launched an all-innovative service in Nepal for its customers under which these customers can withdraw cash from the ATM  booths without inserting their ATM cards.

Under this first of its kind arrangement in the nation, customers will need to have a Mobile Money app, the mobile banking app of the bank installed in their smartphones. In their Mobile Money app, they will have an option for cashless withdrawal where they will need to enter the digit/ amount that they intend to withdraw from the ATM machine. After confirming the amount, they will receive a OTP code in the registered mobile number which will have a limited validity. Customers can then choose the cashless withdraw option in the ATM outlet where they are asked to enter the registered mobile number, OTP code and the amount that they intend to withdraw. Following these simple process, they are able to receive the cash without making use of the ATM cards. Customers will also be able to transfer cash right from the ATM booths to others using this service, as per the media statement.
