IPO for General Public: Yambaling Hydropower Limited to Issue 17,43,000 Units IPO Shares from Baishakh 16

Yambaling Hydropower Limited will open its Initial Public Offering (IPO) to the general public on 16th Baishakh, 2083. The company is issuing 17,43,000 unit shares at a par value of Rs. 100 per units. The early closing date for the IPO is the 22nd Baishakh, 2083, but if the issue is not fully subscribed by then, the deadline will be extended to the 30th Baishakh, 2083.

The issued capital of the company is Rs. 70 Crores. Of this, 40%, i.e., 28,00,000 unit shares, will be issued to the public. Out of the total issue capital, 10%, amounting to 7,00,000 unit shares worth Rs. 7 Crores, was allocated to project-affected locals in Sindhupalchok District. The remaining 30% of the issued capital, i.e., 21,00,000 unit shares, will be offered to the general public.

Of this general public issue, 10% of 21,00,000 units, a total of 2,10,000 units, were allotted to Nepalese citizens working abroad. Of the general public issue, 2%, i.e., 42,000 units, have been set aside for the company's employees, and 5% of the total offered shares, i.e., 1,05,000 units, have been reserved for mutual funds. The remaining 17,43,000 units will be issued to the general public and opened from the date mentioned above.

Muktinath Capital Limited has been appointed the issue manager for the public offering. Applications could be placed for a minimum of 10 units and a maximum of 21,000 units.

CARE Ratings Nepal Limited (CRNL) has reaffirmed the issuer rating of CARE-NP BB- (Is) for Yambaling Hydropower Limited (YHL). In Nepal, issuers with this rating are considered to carry a moderate risk of default in meeting their financial obligations on time.

Yambaling Hydropower Limited (YHL), established in 2007 and converted to a public company in 2021, operates the 7.27 MW run-of-river Yambaling Khola Hydropower Project in Sindhupalchowk, Nepal, which began commercial operations on February 20, 2024, under a BOOT (Build, Own, Operate, Transfer) arrangement.
