The IPO allotment of CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited is concluded today i.e. 2078/01/31 in the premises of issue manager Sunrise Capital Limited at 11:00 A.M.
The company opened its IPO to the general public from 17th Baisakh. The issue closed on 21st Baisakh, 2077, at the end of banking hours. The company has issued a total of 25,18,230 unit shares worth Rs 25.18 crore.
Out of the offered 25,18,230 units; 2% of the total offered shares to the general public i.e. 50,365 units have been set aside for the employees of the company and 5% of the total offered i.e. 1,25,911 units have been set aside for the mutual funds. The remaining 23,41,954 units are for the general public.
The issue had received applications from 1,685,627 valid applicants who had applied for a total of 24,645,735 units. The issue was oversubscribed by more than 10.52 times.
As per the allotment module, a total of 234,195 applicants were allotted 10 units each via lottery and lucky four applicants get 1 unit extra; and the remaining 14,51,432 applicants were returned empty hands.
A total of 50,365 units were allotted to the staff of the company and 125,911 units allotted to mutual funds.
4,442 applicants who applied for 61,372 units were disqualified as per the issue manager.

After the issuance of 25,18,230 units worth Rs. 25.18 crore IPO shares the general public i.e 30% of total capital which will raise its paid-up capital to Rs 83.94 crore and the promoter/public ratio will be 70:30.
CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited (CHDC) is a public limited company incorporated under the prevalent laws of Nepal on Mangsir 15, 2066 (November 30, 2009). CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited (CHDC) was founded by the then Clean Energy Development Bank to provide equity investment for hydropower projects to meet the energy needs of the nation. CHDC is currently mandated to invest in and develop hydropower projects. It has got three hydropower projects in operation and four projects in the construction and development stages.
