INVESTORS’ POSITIVE SENTIMENT CONTINUES TO BOOST NEPSE

Due to the technical glitches, the information on share trading was observed at a much delayed time on the website of Nepal Stock Exchange today. As per the information obtained it is indicated that the market movement has taken place only from the time of 1:31 pm on the website. However, the trading in the broker terminal was in the normal time like in the previous days, i.e. 12:00 noon. This is not the first time the investors have to face such problem; being only the exchange of Nepal, the concern body needs to look at this problem and need to make necessary upgrades in the system so as to transmit the information to the investors more effectively and promptly.

The market today also remained in the affirmative note as the positive sentiment of investors, created by disclose of the budget by the government on Tuesday, helped to boost the local bourse up by 4.16 points to close at 523.41 levels. The level the market today settled in is of 13 trading day’s high.

Altogether there were trade of seven sectors today, among which Insurance made the hefty gain of 11.84 points. Likewise, Others made a soar of 12.92 points following the jump in the level of Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) by Rs 11. While, the commitment from the political parties not to obstruct in the development of the hydro sector today helped to send a constructive message among the investors which helped to propel the scrips under the hydro sector boosting the sector up by 1.77 points.

Similarly, Hotels sector inclined by 8.7 points. As for the sector related to Banking and Financial Institutions, Banking  and Development ascent by 3.16, and 1.63  points respectively whereas Finance plummeted by 0.39 points.

Overall there were trade of 91 scrips among which 44 scrips increased 18 remained intact and 29 scrips decreased. The best performer for the day was, Diprox Development Bank  (DDBL), closed at Rs 313, with Rs 28 or 9.82% gain. Whereas, Kumari Bank Limited Promotor Share (KBLPO), closed at Rs 137, was the worst performer with Rs 8 or 5.52% loss. Among the ordinary scrips, Metro Development Bank Limited (MDBL), closed at Rs 120, was the highest loser with Rs 6 or 4.76% loss.

In case of the highest shares traded, Grand Bank Limited Promoter Share (GRANDP), closed at Rs 109, topped with 100,595 units; the scrip had the highest turnover worth Rs 10964,855 via one transaction. Among the ordinary shares, Civil Bank Ltd (CBL), closed at Rs 161, topped the category of the highest transaction with 39,806 units.

 In terms of turnover among ordinary scrips, Nabil Bank Ltd. (NABIL), closed at Rs 1845, topped with 3,477 units worth Rs 6,407,055 via 24 transactions; in which Broker no 6 (Agrawal Securities Pvt. Limited) was the most active Broker with 86.52% stand alone dealing of NABIL, tallying 3,010 units worth Rs 5,543,250 via 18 transactions which includes 6 matching transactions totaling 1,260 units worth Rs 2,316,000.

Altogether 348,085 units of shares were traded via 1,272 transactions worth Rs 97,869,918 which is Rs 19,365,179 or 24.66% higher than prior’s day trade; the market capitalization at the day stood at Rs 504,295.80 Millions.
