ShareSansar, July 2

Though the newly merged Nepal Industrial and Commercial Bank (NICB) and Bank of Asia Nepal (BOAN) have already started operating as NIC Asia Bank Ltd., investors will have to wait for a few more days to be able to trade in the shares of the company.

NIC Asia will request Nepal Rastra Bank on Tuesday to revoke suspension in trading of its shares imposed while the merger process was under way.

The bank can ask SEBON and NEPSE to open trading in its shares only after NRB grant’s the permission for the same.

In view of these formalities, the bank’s shares would begin trading by the end of Asar.

The shares of NICB last traded on June 28, 2012 at Rs 468, while the shares of BOAN traded at Rs 228 on the same date.

NIC Asia has announced to issue share certificates to the Bank of Asia shareholders from Tuesday i.e. 18th Asar, 2070.
