Investors Groups urges CDS & Clearing to stop the shares settlement and urges investors not to sign documents in broker houses

Few days ago, CDS and Clearing Limited directed the Stock Broker Association of Nepal to instruct the investors to fill CGT form after determining the weighted average price of the investment and based on that make entry in the settlement system of CDS.

However, now that the stock market has gone towards online and digitization, investors were aggressive post the announcement as this step would further create inconvenience to investors as they need to visit broker houses regularly. Releasing a press statement today, all the three Investors’ Group urged investors not to sign the concerned documents by visiting the broker houses. The groups also requested CDS & Clearing to stop the settlement of shares until the facilities are revised.
