Investment Board starts preparations for Nepal Investment Year
KATHMANDU,JAN 3:
A meeting of the Investment Board steering committee today officially decided to announce the fiscal year 2012-13 as Nepal Investment Year.
The meeting chaired by the Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai also formed various sub committees and planned to bring uniformity in the regulations in the remaining months before the fiscal year 2012-13 starts on July 16.
Lat week, the Investment Board has nominated entrepeuners Bhawani Rana, Kush Kumar Joshi, Basanta Chaudhary and Krishna Acharya from the private sector to give the board a full shape. Similarly, bankers Anil Shah and Chandra Dhakal were also nomited as the permanent invitee members.
The board led by Prime Minister has finance minister as vice-chair and Minister for Energy, Minister for Physical Planning and Works and Minister for Information and Communications and Secretary at the Finance and Infrastructure Division of the PMO as the permanent invitee members.
The government had already appointed Radhesh Pant as a chief executive officer at the board that will work as a single window for the investment of over Rs 10 billion.
