The 9th International Nepali Literature Conference will be held in Colorado, USA, from May 22 to 24 under the coordination of the Colorado chapter of the International Nepali Literary Society (ANESAS).

According to the organizers, around 125 writers, poets, journalists and literary personalities from Nepal and different countries are expected to attend the event. More than 50 Nepali-language creators living in Colorado will also participate in the conference.

The programme will begin with a welcome dinner on May 22, while the official inauguration is scheduled for May 23. The conference will include panel discussions, literary debates and interactive sessions focused on Nepali language and literature. One of the major attractions of the event will be a discussion on “History in Fiction and Fiction in History,” featuring noted Nepali writers and journalists.

The organizers have also planned daily yoga sessions, poetry recitals, cultural performances and community presentations during the three-day event. The conference will conclude with the honouring of contributors and visits to local cultural and historical sites.

Organizers said the conference aims to promote Nepali language, literature and culture at the international level and strengthen literary connections among the Nepali diaspora worldwide.
