inDrive Ranks as World’s Second Most Downloaded Ride-Hailing App for Fourth Consecutive Year
Global mobility and delivery platform inDrive has been ranked the world’s second most downloaded ride-hailing app for the fourth year in a row, according to Sensor Tower. The company also rose to fourth place among global travel apps, reflecting its expanding user base and growing engagement worldwide.
Since its launch, inDrive has been downloaded more than 400 million times and has facilitated over 8 billion transactions across 1,100 cities in 48 countries. The platform’s peer-to-peer pricing model, which allows riders and drivers to agree on fares directly, remains central to its popularity.
In 2025, inDrive will have evolved into a “super app,” expanding services beyond ride-hailing to include intercity travel, courier services, grocery delivery, and financial solutions. The company is also leveraging AI and data analytics to enhance personalization, improve navigation accuracy, and strengthen user experience while maintaining its focus on fairness and user choice.
The report highlights a broader industry trend toward multi-service platforms, especially in emerging markets, where users increasingly prefer integrated digital services for daily needs. For Nepal, the platform’s growth reflects rising demand for transparent, flexible, and affordable mobility solutions in urban transport systems.
