inDrive Launches Aurora Ventures to Support Women Founders in Emerging Markets
inDrive has launched a new investment initiative called Aurora Ventures aimed at supporting women-led startups in emerging markets, including South Asia and Nepal. The program was announced following the conclusion of the 2026 Aurora Tech Award in Chile, which attracted a record 3,400 applications from women entrepreneurs across 127 countries.
Aurora Ventures will provide early-stage investments ranging from $180,000 to $250,000 to women founders whose businesses are often overlooked by traditional venture capital firms. According to research conducted by the initiative, women entrepreneurs frequently face systemic barriers, including higher performance expectations and limited access to funding networks.
The program, backed by the Aurora Tech Award, aims to build a stronger ecosystem for female founders through financial support, mentorship, investor access, and operational guidance. Officials from inDrive stated that the initiative is focused on unlocking the untapped potential of high-growth startups led by women across emerging economies.
