Indian benchmark index BSE Sensex hits new high; Index at 40,607 points with Infosys as top gainer

India's market benchmanrk index, BSE Sensex, hit a new record high intra-day peak today (November 06, 2019). The BSE Sensex rose to 40,607 points driven by strong buying sentiment in banking, metal realty sector stcoks. Some of the top gainers include ICICI Bank, Indusind Bank, Yes Bank, HDFC Bank, Infosys, Tata Motors and so on. Infosys was the top gainer in Sensex as its stock surged to IC 718 by as much as 3.15%.

Likeise, NSE's Nifty Fifty index also showed some action by reaching near 12,000. Similarly, the IC appreciated by 25 paise against USD in the early session today.

Globally, stock exchanges in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul, and Europe were positive whereas Shanghai closed in the red.
