Indian Ambassador N. Srivastava Meets PM Balendra Shah, Discusses Nepal-India Relations
Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Balendra Shah at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar on Monday.
During the meeting, the two sides held discussions on various aspects of Nepal-India bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest. They also exchanged views on the longstanding friendship between the two countries, development partnership, and areas of cooperation.
Ambassador Srivastava congratulated Prime Minister Shah on assuming office and wished him a successful tenure. He reaffirmed the Government of India's commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between Nepal and India.
In response, Prime Minister Shah emphasized the need to further deepen Nepal's historic relationship with India and work together in areas of shared interest.
He also highlighted India's important role in Nepal's development and stressed the need for more effective coordination between the two countries in the days ahead.
The meeting comes amid continued efforts by Nepal and India to strengthen their longstanding bilateral partnership and expand cooperation in development and other areas of mutual interest.
