Increase in Income from Electricity Sales and Cost reduction in Q4 results 59.32% rise in Net Profit of Sanima Mai Hydropower

Sanima Mai Hydropower Company Limited (SHPC) has published the unaudited fourth-quarter report for FY 2076/2077. As per the report, the net profit of the company rose by 59.32% to Rs. 36.83 crores from Rs. 23.12 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
The company’s paid-up capital increased to Rs. 2.55 Arba. similarly, the company has Rs. 65.64 as retained earnings.
As per the management, due to favorable rainfall during the period, revenue from the sale of electricity (core business revenue) increased by 18.72% and currently stands at Rs. 86.07 crores. Similarly, the company has been able to cut down operating costs, administrative expenses, and finance costs which has resulted in an increase in Net Profit to Rs. 36.83 crores; an increase of 59.32% in FY 2076/2077 compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
The company has invested Rs. 24.25 crores in associate companies.
The EPS of the company improved to Rs. 14.43 and Net worth per share stood at Rs. 125.84. The company quarter-end P/E ratio stands at 15.54 times for the end of the fourth quarter.
