Improvement in Banking and Others Sub-indices uplifts Nepse by 10.26 points

With the opening of this week trading session, the market saw a positive reaction from the investors as most of the sub-indices traded in the green zone. The benchmark index Nepse after two week long sideways moment between the range of 360 to 380 level rocketed up to 375.4 points to add 10.26 or 2.81% than preceding closing level.

In today’s trading session, Muktinath Bikas Bank Ltd was the Top Gainer with Rs 19 or 8.19 % whereas Om Finance Ltd was the Top Loser with Rs 17 or 8.25%. Likewise, Chilime Hydro Power Company had the highest transaction of 123 times in today’s session. On the other hand, with 15,756 shares worth Rs 9,391,334 Bank of Kathmandu (BOK) had the highest traded share and turnover; in which Broker No 6 (Agrawal Securities Pvt. Limited) was most active broker with 32.98% stand alone dealing of BOK, amounting Rs 3,096,968 via 26 transactions of 5,184 units which includes matching of 2,964 units worth Rs 1,768,498.

Sectoral wise, Finance sector was the only loser with 0.59 or 0.22% points loss than previous closing level. Similarly, Banking sector was the top gainer with 13.76 or 4.14% points followed by Others, Hydro, Development, Insurance and Hotels sub -indices which all added 14.1, 13.88, 0.99, 1.82 and 0.57 points respectively than the prior closing level. Sensitive index went up by 2.89 or 3.09% to settle at 96.36 while Float index also added 0.799 or 2.75% point to close at 29.82 points.

Total scrips traded for the day were 77 with 50 gainers and 20 losers with total turnover of Rs 38,895,497 which is astoundinly Rs 86,384,314 lower than prior trading session. Overall 135,585 units of shares were traded via 1408 transaction with total market capitalization of Rs. 354,551.49 millions.
