IME signs pact with Nepali embassy in Malaysia

KATHMANDU, Sept 16 :

The Embassy of Nepal in Kuala Lumpur and IME Malaysia has agreed to cooperate with each other in providing financial resources to undocumented Nepali workers to return home.

Niranjan Man Singh Basnyat, Nepali ambassador to Malaysia and Hem Raj Dhakal, managing director of IME Malaysia signed the agreement, according to a statement issued on Tuesday.

As per the agreement, IME Malaysia will provide financial assistance of Rs 900,000 which will be used to buy one-way ticket to Kathmandu for 50 Nepali workers who are looking for resources to purchase air tickets to return to Nepal. According to the statement, the assistance will be provided to Nepalis as per the list provided by the Embassy of Nepal.
