IME General Insurance pioneers in school student insurance in Nepal; launches IGI Student Insurance scheme protecting both school students and their parents from possible accidents

IME General Insurance, for the first time in Nepal, has launched IGI Student Insurance scheme targeting the school students from grade 1 to 12. The unique policy was jointly launched by BoD of the company Mr. Pratap Jung Pandey and CEO Mr. Yogesh Bhakt Bade Shrestha.

The insurance scheme provides insurance security to the school going children and their parents as well, as mentioned in the media statement. It reduces the unavoidable financial risks of future in case the insured children and their parents face any sort of accidental or unfortunate events.

The insurance policy will cover following risks:

*Upto Rs 1 lakh in case of Accidental death of insured child while Rs 5 lakh in case of death of either of the child’s parents

*Upto Rs 3 lakh in case of permanent disability of insured child and Rs 5 lakh in case of his/her parents

*Upto Rs 1 lakh incase of accident related disabilities of insured child and Rs 2.5 lakh for the parents

*Upto Rs 10 thousand for month school fee for the temporary disability of the insured child

*Upto Rs 25 thousand of medical insurance claim for the insured child

*Upto Rs 50 thousand of hospital admission claim when the insured child is admitted to the hospital
