IME General Insurance (IGI) Calls AGM; Agenda to Endorse Dividend, Rights Offering, and Shareholding Conversion

IME General Insurance Limited has called its 23rd AGM on 12th Baisakh, 2078. The AGM will be held in the company's corporate office in Naxal starting at 10 am that day.

Among other proposals, the company will endorse the dividend for the fiscal year 2076/77. The meeting of the board of directors held on Fagun 4 has proposed a 7% bonus shares and 0.37% cash dividend from the paid-up capital for the fiscal year 2076/77. The dividend will be distributed from the paid-up capital of Rs. 1,08,18,36,000. Thus, the bonus shares amounting to Rs. 7,57,50,000 and cash dividend amounting to Rs. 39,86,842.11 will be distributed for tax purposes.

Furthermore, the agenda will also discuss issuing 40% right shares on the paid-up capital maintained after adjustment of the aforementioned bonus shares. Similarly, the AGM will also endorse conversion of promoter and public shareholding ratio to 51: 49 from the existing 60: 40.

The book closure is declared on Baisakh 02, 2078. Thus, investors maintained before that day are entitled to the dividend and can also attend the AGM. Books will be closed from Baisakh 2 to Baisakh 12.
