ICT Gyan Reaches All Seven Provinces to Bridge Nepal’s Digital Divide

The ICT Gyan program, jointly launched by ICT Foundation Nepal and Ncell Foundation, has successfully conducted digital literacy sessions in all seven provinces of Nepal. Starting from Jestha 16, the initiative reached over 2,000 participants, including students, teachers, local representatives, and citizens, in districts such as Morang, Sarlahi, Dolakha, Syangja, Pyuthan, Salyan, and Kailali.
The sessions focused on critical digital safety practices, including cybersecurity awareness, safe online behavior, and the importance of two-factor authentication. Experts provided training on topics like electronic governance and financial technology. Participants expressed the need for similar programs in more locations.
ICT Gyan is part of Ncell’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts and is aligned with ICT Foundation Nepal’s mission to foster a digitally inclusive society. Founded in 2021, the foundation promotes digital transformation and works with governments and tech companies to support innovation and digital policies. Through initiatives like Digital Nepal Conclave and e-governance mapping, ICT Foundation Nepal is helping to bridge the digital divide in the country.
