Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company (HIDCL) Muling To Invest Rs. 19.54 Arba on 26 Hydropower Facilities With a Combined Capacity of 2811 MW

A total of Rs. 19.54 Arba in loans and equity investments have been granted so far by the Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited (HIDCL). 26 hydroelectric projects totaling 2811 MW have had their investments approved.
Similarly, the company had committed equity investment of Rs. 92.30 Crores in different companies related to the hydropower sector. As per sources, Rs 35.99 Crores has in fact already been invested in such sectors.
The company has also received proposals for loans and equity investments worth about Rs. 70 Arba in 13 hydropower projects with a capacity of 3114 megawatts advanced by strategic partners, the government sector, and the private sector.
On the other hand, as proposed by the board of directors of HIDCL, the company also proposed to distribute 5% bonus shares and 0.263% cash dividend from the paid-up capital of Rs. 20.71 Arba as of Ashad 2079.
As per the first quarter report of FY 79/80, the paid-up capital of HIDCL was Rs. 21.27 Arba. Hence, after the adjustment of rights and bonus shares, the paid-up capital of the company is Rs. 24.67 Arba.
