HoR Committee Convenes for PM's Confidence Vote and Agenda Strategy
The House of Representatives (HoR) Business Advisory Committee has convened under the leadership of Speaker Devraj Ghimire.
This gathering is prompted by the Prime Minister's quest for a vote of confidence in parliament today, as well as to strategize the lower house's agenda for the next 15 days.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is seeking this vote following a recent change in the ruling coalition on March 4. The Committee aims to finalize the procedure for the confidence vote and to plan the parliamentary agenda for the upcoming fortnight.
Notable attendees include the newly-appointed Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Padam Giri, Deputy Speaker Indira Rana, along with the Chief Whips and Whips from various parliamentary parties.
