HOPE OF SOLUTION FROM PRESIDENT, RALLYS NEPSE

The hope of solution, for the prevailing political stalemate, from the President today again encouraged the investors. As the major political parties have failed to forge consensus, the news of President in preparation to take a decisive decision to break this vacuum and clear way for the fresh election prompted the positive reaction from the investors in the market today.
The Nepse index started its trade from the yesterday’s closing and gradually increased to reach the peak of 532 levels. For the entire session, the local bourse hovered around the green pasture and close at 530.20 points adding 3.19 points than the prior closing day. The turnover today also sustain over the Rs 100 million mark as it stood at Rs 137,694,510 which is higher by Rs 29,766,849 or 21.61%. Overall 335,639 units of shares were traded via 1,428 transactions with the market capitalization amounting Rs 510,706.47million at the end of the day.
Altogether there were trade of seven sectors, Finance and Others were only sectors that dropped by 0.72 and 4.7 points respectively. The fall in Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) by Rs 4 mainly contributed to the Others downfall whereas the plunge in Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) and Fewa Finance Co. Ltd. (FFCL) by Rs 17 and Rs 13 complemented in the Finance sector loss.
While, the increment in the scrips of Nabil Bank Ltd. (NABIL), Everest Bank Ltd (EBL), Standard Chartered Bank Ltd. (SCB), Himalayan Bank Ltd. (HBL) by Rs 38, Rs 30, Rs 22, Rs 11 respectively along with another 18 scrips enhanced the Banking sector by 5.73 points. Similarly, Development also ascended by 0.81 points following the increase in the level of Nerude Laghubita Bikas Bank Limited (NLBBL). As for Hydro sector jumped by 5.02 points after the incline in the price of Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL) by Rs 9.
Likewise, a surge in the value of Soaltee Hotel Ltd. (SHL) by Rs 6 pushed the Hotels sector further up by 9 points. Whereas, the gain in Nepal Life Insurance Co. Ltd. (NLIC), closed at Rs 2030, because of its recently proposed dividend of more than 120%, today also it helped to soar by Rs 90, which contributed most to boost the overall Insurance sector up by 6.13 points. Following the announcement to distribute sound dividend, the company’s scrip in the last three days has surged up by an astounding amount of Rs 332. With this increment, the scrip has become the second expensive share in the market after Uniliver Nepal Ltd (UNL).
Overall there were only 94 scrips traded among which 51 scrips increased 11 remain intact and 32 scrips decreased. The highest gainer for the day was, Himalayan Gen. Insu. Co. Ltd. (HGI), closed at Rs 192, with Rs 17 or 8.57% gain. Whereas, Nepal Bank Limited (NBL), closed at Rs 808, was the highest loser with Rs 89 or 9.92%.
In terms of highest share traded and turnover, Nepal Bangladesh Bank Ltd. (NBB), closed at Rs 291, topped with 51,246 units worth Rs 14,899,734 via 102 transactions; in which Broker no 25 (Sweta Securities Pvt. Limited) was the most active Broker with 15.63% stand alone dealing of NBB, tallying 8,008 units worth Rs 2,329,358 via 18 transactions.
