Himalayan Bank extends support to Drugs Free Society Nepal; provides financial support of Rs 5 lakh for construction of multipurpose hall

Himalayan Bank Limited, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has extended its helping hand to Drugs Free Society Nepal (Treatment Centre). The bank provided financial assistance of Rupees Five Hundred Thousand to the organization for construction of multi-purpose hall on Thursday, April 20, 2023.

On today’s context, large number of youths are found to be attracted/involved in alcoholism, various drugs and crimes. In order to decrease such serious issues from the society, the organization has been helping people belonging to different age group suffering from alcoholism and involved in different drugs abuse. Currently, the centre has been taking care of around hundred of people with such issues at the minimum cost.

On the behalf of the Bank, Mr. Ashoke SJB Rana, CEO in presence of other Executives of the Bank handed over the cheque to Mr. Sonam Sherpa amidst a program.
