Highest Index-Close, Highest Volume, and Highest Turnover in NEPSE's history; Bull on Banking

The NEPSE index closed at 1,968.27 today, which is the highest close in the history of NEPSE. The highest close record was previously broken just last week. The index made a new high today, gaining 75.02 points from last week's close.

25,945,380 shares traded hands via 80,271 transactions. This is the highest number of transactions and shares traded in a single trading day. Trading of 200 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 9.22 Arba. Now, this is also the highest intraday turnover attained in the history of NEPSE.

The float index gained 6.29 points and closed at 134.83 while the Sensitive index is at 383.93 after gaining 18.76 points.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of Rs. 51.79 crores. The shares of Kumari Bank Limited (KBL) traded the most today.

12 companies hit the 10% positive circuit today.

Meanwhile, Bishal Bazar Company Limited (BBC) lost the most 10%.

Four sectors lost at the close today while eight others closed green. Interestingly, Banking and Development Banking both gained an impressive 7.81% and 8.11% respectively today.
