High-level meeting on economic diplomacy

KATHMANDU:
A high-level inter-ministerial meeting on economic diplomacy concluded here today at Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), stressing for an utmost need of a better coordination between public and private sectors to build a national image for achieving success in economic diplomacy.

The meeting of Economic Diplomacy Implementation Monitoring High Level Committee also stressed that Ministry of Foreign Affairs has played an active coordinative role between different ministries to deal with the issues but has to make Nepali missions abroad active to promote Nepal’s tourism, hydropower and investment prospects.

“We have discussed entire gamut of issues, ranging from Nepal’s tourism, hydel prospects and promoting it beyond the national border to lure the foreign investment,” said foreign secretary Dr Madan Kumar Bhattarai. The meeting chaired by DPM and Minister for Foreign Affairs Upendra Yadav was participated by secretaries and NRB officials.
