High Alert Issued Along Bhotekoshi, Trishuli, and Narayani Rivers

Nepal’s National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has issued an urgent high alert notice following a large flood entering the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa from Tibet. Authorities have asked residents living near the banks of the Bhotekoshi, Trishuli, and Narayani rivers to remain highly cautious until further notice.

Families living along riverbank areas in Rasuwa, Dhading, Nuwakot, Gorkha, Chitwan, and Tanahun districts are advised to move to safer locations immediately. For search, rescue, or emergency support, the authority has asked people to call the toll-free numbers 100, 1234, or 1114.

To ensure public safety, local administrations and local governments have been urged to restrict travel and completely halt traffic along the Prithvi Highway, the Galchhi – Nuwakot – Rasuwa - Syabrubesi road, and the Muglin - Narayangadh road. The authority has also appealed to all related agencies and citizens to support and coordinate search, rescue, and relief operations.
