HBL’s profit rises by 10.41%, NPL drops by 1%

Himayalan Bank Limited reported 10.41 percent increase in its net profit for this third quarter of the current fiscal year 2070/71.

Publishing the unaudited financial report for the third quarter today, the bank has stated that its net profit has increased to Rs 79.28 crore up from Rs 71.8 crore as compared to the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal year 2069/70.

The net profit was mainly accompanied by the core business of the bank as the net interest income slightly rose to Rs 1. 79 arba up from Rs 1.78 arba as compared to the corresponding quarter moreover, the provision for possible loss has also declined to Rs 29.91 crore from Rs 37.88 crore.

The commercial bank has rise in deposits to Rs 62.91 arba as compared to the corresponding quarter which was Rs 47.91 arba likewise, the loan reached to Rs 45.71 arba in the third quarter compared to Rs 40.18 arba in the corresponding quarter.

Its non performing loan has also reduced from 2.84 percent as compared to 3.91 percent in the corresponding quarter of last fiscal year.

Its EPS stands at Rs 36.48, per share net worth at Rs 210.23 and the P/E ratio is 22.73 times.
