HBL-JCB pact

KATHMANDU, JUNE 8: 

Himalayan Bank Ltd (HBL) started issuing JCB cards from Thursday through its network of more than 1,200 HBL merchants and 69 ATMs in association with JCB International Co, the international operations subsidiary of JCB Co. JCB card members will be able to use JCB credit cards at HBL merchants in Nepal. The arrangement will increase convenience for over 77 million JCB card members largely based in Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan and other Asian nations, who travel to Nepal. JCBI and HBL had signed Issuing and Acquiring Licence Agreement on May 13.
