KATHMANDU, Nov 25:
H&B Development Bank has appointed Gyanu Krishna Adhikary as its new CEO. The meeting of board of directors (BoD) held last week appointed Adhikari, who is a former deputy director of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), to the post for a two-year term.
Adhikary had also led a three-member team deputed by the central bank in H&B after it took over the bank on good-for-payment check scam worth Rs 801 million.
Adhikary had retired from the post of the deputy director of NRB while he was deputed at the H&B Development Bank. NRB called back its team from H&B Development Bank on November 18 and handed over the reins of the class ´B´ bank to a new team of promoters after improvement in the bank´s financial health was seen.
Talking with Republica, newly appointed CEO Adhikary said that his main priority will remain on resolving the good-for-payment check problem and drive the bank toward profit.
