Golyan Group Launches Educational and Health Support Program for Gen-Z Movement Martyrs’ Families
Golyan Group has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with families of Gen-Z movement martyrs to implement an education and health support program. The initiative, announced on Ashwin 24, will provide scholarships for children of martyrs up to class 12 and support their special talents and activities. Under the MoU, scholarships will be directly deposited to educational institutions, with provisions for additional activities as per the children’s interests.
In the first phase, 11 children have been included, with schools like Euro School, Paradise English School, and Jagriti Vidya Sadan English School selected based on parental inputs.
Corporate Affairs head Jyoti Gaihre emphasized that while the support cannot erase the families’ pain, it demonstrates solidarity and commitment to preserving the martyrs’ dreams.
Martyrs’ families expressed gratitude, highlighting that Golyan Group has effectively become a guardian for the children, ensuring their education despite the loss of parents. The company has also initiated a health insurance support program for family members not covered under the educational scholarships. Phase two of the program will extend support to all remaining martyrs’ families, including those outside Kathmandu, by the month of Kartik.
