Gold gets dearer

The price of gold is surging in the local market.

The price of the precious metal, which stood at Rs 54,500 per tola when the bullion market opened after Dashain festival on Thursday, increased by 466 on Friday.

Gold was priced at Rs 55,600 a day before the Dashain holidays began.

Similarly, the price of silver, which opened at Rs 905 per tola when the market opened on Thursday after Dashain, reached Rs 910 on Friday, according to Nepal Gold and Silver Entrepreneurs’ Association.
