KATHMANDU:
The domestic market saw the gold breaking another record price by reaching Rs 44,702 for a tola (11.66 grams). The uncertainty over US debt ceiling has pushed the yellow metal price off the roof in the international market leading to record price in the domestic market. The gold is becoming more and more appealing to the investors as to meet the deficit western governments are printing more money to stimulate their economies, further devaluing currencies making gold an effective hedge against losses. The silver price has also reached Rs 1,122 for a tola on Sunday.
