Global IME Bank Limited (GBIME) has partnered with GIZ, a German government-owned organization, to invest in electric public transport in Nepal.

This collaboration is part of the "Nepal for Long-Term Electric Transport" project, supported by the Mitigation Action Facility and the Government of Nepal's Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport.

The aim is to promote the use of electric vehicles in public transportation, thereby increasing electricity consumption domestically and contributing to a cleaner environment.

Global IME Bank, the first private sector bank with branches in every district of Nepal, is extending loans at minimal interest rates to encourage the adoption of electric vehicles.

With over 46 lakh customers, the bank plays a significant role in the country's economy by facilitating remittances from various countries.

GIZ, focusing on sustainable development, education quality improvement, and livelihood development, is committed to investing in such projects.
