Global IME Bank's Holistic Financial Literacy Initiative Across Nepal

Global IME Bank Limited (GBIME) is actively engaged in corporate social responsibility by targeting various groups outside the financial sector. The bank has conducted a comprehensive financial literacy program through more than 41 branch offices. The program aimed to educate farmers, micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs, laborers, potential foreign workers, students, women, remittance recipients, and local youth.
Over 5,000 individuals were informed about various financial aspects such as savings, credit, remittance, digital banking, insurance, investment, additional banking services, financial fraud, and financial discipline. The programs were held in 41 locations across different districts in the country.
Specifically, more than 250 people participated in events in Jhapa district, Damak municipality, and Biratnagar metropolitan city, while over 100 people attended the program in Malangwa Municipality of Sarlahi District. The bank organized programs in various other locations, reaching a total of over 2,500 participants in different provinces.
Global IME Bank has also motivated over 9,000 target groups from 76 branch offices to engage in banking transactions by providing awareness and financial security information.
The bank, with a network spanning all districts, including over 1,100 service points, is the first commercial bank in the private sector with such extensive coverage. Currently serving more than 46 lakh customers, the bank is expanding and contributing significantly to the country's economy by facilitating remittances from various countries worldwide. In the coming financial year, the bank plans to continue its participatory programs through over 350 branches.
