Global IME Bank virtually convenes its 14th AGM; endorses proposal of 16% dividend becoming largest bank by acquiring 18 BFIs so far

Global IME Bank has virtually convened its 14th AGM for the FY 2076-77 under the leadership of its chairman Mr. Chandra Prasad Dhakal on Poush 29, 2077.

The AGM has endorsed the board’s proposal to provide 14% bonus shares and 2% cash dividend to its shareholders from the profit it had made in the previous fiscal year. After the endorsement of the bonus shares, the paid-up capital of the bank will scale up to Rs 21.63 arba.

 

The bank had raised the deposit of Rs 249 arba, disbursed loan of Rs 213 arba, earned net profit of Rs 2.91 arba by the end of the previous fiscal year, as per the media statement.

The AGM also elected a new board of the bank with Mr. Chandra Prasad Dhakal one more time as the chairman, and Mr. Cabinet Shrestha, Mr. Ram Bahadur Bhandari, Mr. Sudarshan Krishna Shrestha, as board members from the promoter group whereas Mr. Krishna  Prashad Sharma and Mr. Dipak Sharma Pokharel as BoDs from the public shareholder group, as per the media statement. The newly elected chairman Mr. Dhakal has also received his oath of secrecy and designation from the NRB Governor Mr. Maha Prasad Adhikari on the same day.

The bank currently has its reach with 22 lakh customers in 73 districts via 264 branches, and 800 banking service points spread across the nation.
