Global IME Bank to provide affordable loan to goat farmers in different local units of Gulmi; signs agreement with local units for promoting rural entrepreneurial development

Global IME Bank has reached an agreement with Heifer Nepal and different local units of Gulmi district to extend credit facilities to the goat farmers and small-scale entrepreneurs of the local units in the district.

The Agreement for the same has been signed between Lumbini head of the bank Mr. Ravi Shrestha, Nagarpalika head of Musikot Nagarpalika Mr. Somnath Sapkota, head of Isma Gaupalika Mr. Laxman Bahadur Bista, head of Malika Gaupalika Mr. Rit Bahadur Thapa, head of Madane Gaupalika Mr. Dan Bahadur K.C., head of Dhurkot Gaupalika Mr. Bhopal Pokharel and program coordinator of Heifer Nepal Mr. Ananta Raj Silwal amid a program, as per the media statement.

Following the understanding, Heifer Nepal will Provide goat farming-related training to the farmers while the bank will provide loans of up to Rs 10 lakh to the farmers at a subsidized interest, as per the media statement.

The bank currently provides its services to its customers from its 280 branches in 76 districts, 250  ATM terminals, 47 extension, and revenue collection counters, 257 branchless banking units, and 3 foreign relations offices under its network.
