Global IME Bank Marks World Environment Day with Cleanup and Tree Plantation Drive
Global IME Bank Limited observed World Environment Day by organizing a one-day hiking and plastic waste cleanup event from Machhegaun to Champadevi Temple in Kirtipur. Conducted in collaboration with Kirtipur Municipality and the Nepal Red Cross Society, the initiative successfully collected around 150 kilograms of plastic waste. Locally crafted bamboo bins were also installed along the trail for long-term waste management. The collected waste was handed over to the municipal waste center.
In a broader environmental commitment, the bank also launched a nationwide tree plantation campaign, aiming to plant 18,000 trees in celebration of its 18th anniversary. These efforts aim to support climate change mitigation and enhance local livelihoods.
