Global IME Bank Marks 17th Anniversary with Nationwide Walkathon for Financial Literacy

Global IME Bank Limited celebrated its 17th anniversary with a nationwide Walkathon program held in the main cities of all seven provinces on Saturday. The event, organized as part of the bank's corporate social responsibility, aimed to enhance financial literacy and banking awareness among the general public.

Having completed 16 years since its establishment on the 17th of Poush, Global IME Bank kicked off its 17th year with a spirited Walkathon in Kathmandu. The event in the capital was graced by the presence of Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who also serves as the President of Global IME Bank. The bank's board of directors, along with over 1,500 employees, including top management, actively participated in the Walkathon.

Participants in the Walkathon carried financial literacy and banking educational placards and banners as they walked from the branch office at Kantipath in Kathmandu, encircling key areas of the city and extending the initiative to major cities outside the Kathmandu Valley.
