Global IME Bank makes financial support of Rs 5 lakh for preventing child marriages in province II; aims to reach 1000 schools in southern province with initiations of Zonta Club Kathmandu

Global IME Bank, under its CSR initiative, has handed over Rs 5 lakh financial support to Zonta Club Kathmandu to carry forward its initiatives to prevent child marriage. The support amount was handed over by Acting CEO of the bank Mr. Mahesh Sharma Dhakal to chairman of Zonta Club Kathmandu Ms. Mira Jyoti.

With the support amount, the Zonta Club Kathmandu aims to reach around 1000 schools at province 2 to conduct awareness and empowerment related events to prevent child marriages, as per the media statement.

The handover event was also attended by bank’s Assistant MD Arati  Rana, Ms. Sima Golcha from Zonta Club, among other officials from the bank.
